EOC - middle

Dok smo se ganjali po Plitvicama, EOC je obavil i midle. Pa eto i kaj vele (prvo kvalifikacije pa finale):

Middle qualification

Valentin Novikov from Russia made more than one and a half minute mistake, but still managed to win his qualification heat by one second. Also Thierry Gueorgiou (FRA) is back on his place, finishing number one in his heat. But also he managed to make some smaller mistakes as he admitted after his race.

Minna Kauppi was the only one who finished in 25 minutes, almost one and a half minute ahead of Anne Margarethe Hausken, who won her second gold medal two days ago. The sprint medallist Helena Jansson had a great run today winning her heat by more than a minute.

ROUTEGADGET - MIDDLE QUALIFICATION

Middle final

A great day for Finland! The Finnish girls took all the three medals in women's class and Pasi Ikonen was the 3rd in men's class in the middle distance final today in Jaunupe.

Thierry Gueorgiou (FRA) once again showed that he is the best middle distance runner of all winning his third European title in the middle distance. Today was also the first medal for the home nation, as Martins Sirmais form Latvia won the silver medal, the same as it was two years ago in Estonia.

All the three Finnish runners Heli Jukkola, Merja Rantanen and Minna Kauppi made mistakes during their runs, but they were still the best. That means that there will really strong relay team for Finland in tomorrow's relay. Merja Rantanen as well as Emil Wingstedt and Daniel Hubmann have been in TOP 6 in all the individual races in these championships, and they should also make TOP 6 in tomorrow's race.

ROUTEGADGET - MIDDLE FINAL

Danas se beži štafeta.

Fčera sam dakle bil na Plitvicama, a danas se bavim bejbisitingom povezanim sa kontrolom terena. Vlade i ja smo se dobro proveli..malo trke, pa malo pive pa malo pice i za kraj neprecizna.
Bilo je svačega na trki, od fizičkih obračuna, policije, krivih kontrola (malo al se broji) crkavanja stanica, sustava itd. No lijepi teren i ugođaj to sve može izvući. Imali smo priliku vidjeti na dijelu kako jedan čovjek može splanirati zadatke, sprintati karte i rješenja, postaviti kontrole, biti na startu, obaviti vremenske, biti na cilju, te naposlijetku obraditi rezultate, pobrati kontrole i podijeliti medalje u PRE-O. Bravo Ivo, al je čudno kako Maksimir kao klub ne mari za svoje natjecanje u PRE-O.

Kaj se tiće našeg memorijalija, evriting iz đast prfekt. Zutra su prijave, vino se potočilo, grah čeka kotel, staze su pa još malo finiširane i ljepe se plakati okolo. Zbog svih ovih silnih radova danas propuštamo drugi dan Plitvica. Ipak smo mi mali klub i nemremo si dopustiti javašluk...kaj ne?
